The third call for applications for the Enrico Fermi Fellowships (EFF) is now open, and we would be very grateful if you could help us share this information.
3rd Cohort - Enrico Fermi Fellowships for doctoral students
- Application Deadline: October 18, 2026, at 23:59 CET (Marseille time)
- Start date: Flexible timing between the end of April 2027 and January 2028
- Length: 1-2 years
- Amount: up to EUR 105,000 per year
- Purpose: Theory & Experiment cross-training in Fundamental Issues

About the Enrico Fermi Fellowships: The EFF program, managed by the Center for SpaceTime and the Quantum (CSTQ) and funded by the John Templeton Foundation (JTF), supports exceptional graduate students worldwide who are interested in fundamental scientific questions and eager to work across both theoretical and experimental approaches. Fellows receive competitive funding (up to EUR 105,000 per year) for 1-2 years, including salary support, travel allowances, and research funds for supervisors, along with mentoring and networking opportunities.
Our first two cohorts were highly successful, funding 11+11 outstanding fellows across diverse institutions and disciplines. You can learn more about their work at eff.cstq.org/awardees.
