Call for proposals 2026A, Canarian Observatories

Dear all,

The Spanish Time Allocation Committee (CAT) of the Canarian Observatories announces the call for regular and large-program proposals corresponding to semester 2026A. There are nine telescopes offered in 2026A: GTC, TNG, WHT, NOT, Stella, LT, TCS, TTT, and Mercator.

Deadline for submission of observing proposals is Friday, 3 October 2025, at 21:59 UT (22:59 Canarian time, 23:59 CEST).

There are important changes with respect to previous calls:

1) TNG has defined very specific notes and actions for teams wishing to use the Time-Sharing mode. 

One week before the due date, the applicants who know that their science goal could only be attained with time-sharing should properly fill the form available at the following link: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeViKzSiXdWL_S8boJvvLL55-fHj0V2eTz09vjCeGEsj4kQ4w/viewform

2) A new set of two, 80-cm, robotic telescopes are offered to the community: the Two-meter Twin Telescope (TTT).
