For a good start, I am pleased to inform you that we aim to support
applications for Junior or Assistant researcher positions at CENTRA -
Center for Astrophysics and Gravitation, IST, Lisbon, Portugal, in the
field of supernovae and related subjects, under the FCT Scientific
Employment Stimulus individual call.

Relevant dates:
Preliminary, informal, pre-selection: 15 Jan 2026 (short list)
Deadline at the FCT: 29 Jan 2026, 5 pm (Lisbon local time)

for Astrophysics and Gravitation at the IST - Instituto Superior
Técnico, Lisbon, in any topics related to supernovae, dust in galaxies,
polarimetry of supernova, current and future large transient surveys,
are welcome to send a message, with his/her CV and a short scientific

until January 15th (recommended as soon as possible, to allow more
time for the application to the FCT).

We will make a short list of candidates that CENTRA will support in this
FCT call.

The Individual Call is aimed at PhD holders of any nationality or
stateless individuals with a background in any scientific area who wish
to develop their scientific research or technological development
activity in Portugal.

Specific requirements:

The candidate must indicate which level/category of doctoral researcher
he/she is applying for, within the two levels open for competition:

Junior researcher - PhD holders for 5 years or less, counted as of
the closing date of the application submission period, with reduced
post-doctoral research experience in the scientific area to which they
are applying.
Assistant researcher - PhD holders at the closing date of the
application submission period, with a relevant curriculum in the
scientific area to which they are applying.
