New member fee increase.

Effective tomorrow (Saturday 2/1/2020) the membership rates are being raised for new members.  I have attached a copy of the new brochure.  If you happen to run across any of the old brochures, please destroy them. 

Here are a few of the key points:

·         For new members, a silver membership will be $295

·         For new members, a gold membership will be $450

·         These rates apply to new members only.  The renewal rates for our existing members are under review.  We should anticipate an increase, but those rates have not been determined.

 

 

Here are a few pieces of information that may be useful to you if a member asks you about the rate changes.

 

·         Our shop is an incredible bargain.  We are priced far below any alternative.

·         We keep our costs low mainly because our members contribute their time to run the shop.

·         It’s a good idea to remind everyone that we are an all-volunteer operation.  Not one person is paid.

·         Although our costs are low, our expenses continue to rise.  We have just renewed our lease which is substantially more than the original cost.

·         We are financially stable, but we do need o build some reserves to prepare for a potential move or expansion at the end of our current three-year lease.
