Memorial Day Parade - Mon 5/27 @11am

Hello P195,

our Pack will march in the Franklin Twp Memorial Day Parade on Mon May 27. We are asking cubscout families to come and park by the Community Baptist Church (where our own cubmaster Jamin is the pastor) around 11am. It's on the corner of DeMott and New Brunswick. We will gather there, prep the pack flag and practice marching, etc. We will join the parade at noon, and march to the Municipal Complex, where the march concludes. You could then get picked up there, or walk back to CBC to where your vehicle is parked.

Scouts and leaders should wear their Class A uniform. Parents can wear P195 tshirt (class B), if they have one. Please bring a water bottle and some light snack. I believe we will have a cooler with some extra water.

Scouts will be distributing P195 labeled candy to the spectators. Maybe we should hand it out to groups of people with young kids mainly (the label will have P195 insignia and link to our website). Hopefully we can get some families inquire about Scouting.

Additionally, this is your last chance to book and pay for the Statue of Liberty trip on Jun 22nd. Please see myself, Santina, or Elizabeth prior to the parade (we will have a signup table in the parking lot), where we can sign you up, and collect your payment (cash/check made out to Pack 195). Please see my previous email with details about the cost of the trip.

Hello P195,

Unfortunately the parade has been cancelled due to the inclement weather. Please see the msg from the township.

The Annual Memorial Day Parade, Monday, May 27th has been canceled.  Due to the high risk of thunderstorms, out of an abundance of caution, we have decided not to hold the Parade and Service tomorrow. Please keep Service members in your thoughts as we celebrate Memorial Day in our own way.

If you have not signed up for the Statue of Liberty trip, and would like to go, please let me know, so we can add you to the reservation, and collect your payment.
