We will start booking the trip to Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island for Jun 22nd 10am slot. This email has a lot of information, so if you are interested in joining us, please read in full. We would like to meet in the Liberty State Park in Jersey City:

The agreed time of 10am is when we will be entering Security Checkpoint in Liberty State park. You should plan to be at the location by 9:30, to give yourself ample time to park and walk to our meeting place by the Security/Boarding Terminal. The drive to the Liberty St. Park can be 45min-1hr from Somerset (maybe more depending on traffic), so that sets you to leave home around 8:30am the latest.

Once you get there, you probably want to park at the parking lot 7, 8, 9, or 10, see the map below. Please see the Security/Safety page as to what is allowed to bring onboard. There are facilities to buy food and drinks on the Liberty Island, where we will spend most of the time. You can also bring food (sandwiches, snacks, fruit,...) and drinks, but you won't be able to bring any food inside the Statue (they do have lockers there on the Liberty Island).

The plan is to board a ferry from Liberty State Park to Liberty Island after security check-in at 10am, Then try to go to the Pedestal of the Statue (before it gets very hot), spend as much time as we want/need up there. Once we come down, we can have some break time to eat. After lunch we meet up to go to the Museum on the island. After museum, we spend additional time to observe outdoors of the island, and at some point we will board the ferry to go to the Ellis Island. There we go on the immigration Museum tour, and after the tour, we can board the ferry back to Liberty State Park (NJ). Make sure you don't board a ferry to Manhattan. It is hard to estimate how long this all will take, as it depends how much fun we are having. If you need to leave earlier, please just let me or one of the leaders know, and you can board an earlier ferry back. The last ferry back to NJ is at 5pm.  

The cost of the trip, reservation and payment info is below, we are booking Pedestal Access tickets (includes general adminssion):

   Kids under 4 - free

   Kids 4-12yo - $16.30

   13yo and older - $25.30

   Senior (62+) - $22.30

We will collect your family payment at the Pack Meeting on Mon May 20th, or at the Memorial Day Parade on Mon May 27th. We want to place the order on the 27th, this way the spots don't fill up for our slot. Depending on number of bookings, we may be able to get a group discount. If we do, we will refund the balance back to you. Please see Santina Spinella, Elizabeth Webb, or myself to make your reservation and pay with the Pack.
