Another great week for the Scouts. We had a fantastic meeting Wednesday night. Saturday night we participated in the flag ceremony at the Penguins game. Great job by all. We have a video up on our Facebook pages if you would like to view them. We will have our parents meeting on Wednesday to go over summer camp. Please be sure to attend. There will be a lot of information discussed. Meghan Gownley is working on her Eagle Project and has a list of items she can use. I have attached it to this email. We will be collecting items through the month of April. Our April campout is coming up soon. If your scout plans on attending please see the information below.

Upcoming Troop Meeting

Wednesday, April 1st – Regular Troop Meeting - Class B Uniform - PLC @ 6:30 - Class A if you have Board of Review
Wednesday, April 8th -Troop Meeting - Class B Uniform
Wednesday, March 15th - OA Elections - Class A Uniform - All Arrowmen wear your sash

Parents Meeting

When: April 1st @ 7:30pm

Where: Maple Lake Church

This meeting is mandatory for parents to attend. We will be talking about summer camp 2026. Even if your scout has attended in the past you still need to attend. Please mark your calendars. There is a lot of information that needs to be discussed as well as hard deadlines that need to be met for payments as well as medical forms.

Swim Test

When: May 20th

Where: Carbondale YMCA

Time: 5:30-7:00

This is the annual swim test for summer camp. Please make every effort to attend if you are planning on going to summer camp. More details to come.

Troop Records update

You may have received a message that you were removed from our Remind group. Please do not be alarmed as we are updating our records. You are not being removed from the troop. You will receive a new invite to the group soon.

Service Opportunity

Every scout needs to do service for their rank. We have some opportunities coming up in the Spring. Time and location will be announced soon. If anyone is looking for a small project to do on their own please see Mr. Flannigan.

April Campout

April 17-19
Where: Camp Acahela
Cost: $25
Deadline to Register: April 8th

Summer Camp 2026

It’s not too early to start thinking about Summer Camp 2026. We will begin collecting deposits in January 2026.

Cost: For Scouts $455 before May 15th - $485 after May 15th
When: July 12th to July 18th

Medical Forms

Medical forms are valid for one year only. If you plan to attend summer camp, you will need a current medical form that has not expired.

Summer camp requires Parts A, B1, B2, and C, along with a copy of your health insurance card.

Please do not wait until the last minute to submit updated forms.
