We have a parents meeting June 24th at Covington park. This is our last chance to go over everything before camp. It is mandatory for all parents whose scouts are going to camp to attend. Medical forms for summer camp are overdue. Please get them in. If you do not turn in a completed Medical form you will not be allowed to attend camp. Any scout 14 years or older our council is looking for help staffing Day Camp in August. Please see Mr. Flannigan ASAP if you wish to help out. If you need Class B shirts for camp please visit our troop store to order them. The link is below. Please allow enough time for them to be made. The closer we get to camp the harder it will be for them to complete your order in time.

Troop Meetings

Wednesday June 24th - Summer camp prep - Covington Park - 7pm

Summer Camp 2026

Date: July 12th-18th
Location: Goose Pond
Cost: $455 by May 13th

Do not wait until the last minute. Health forms are also due by May 27th. Parts A, B1, B2, and C as well as a copy of your scouts health insurance card. The scout CANNOT attend camp without this paperwork. We need time to go through the forms to make sure everything is filled out properly so they do not get turned away at camp. Also, your scout cannot register for summer camp merit badges or special programs until payment is made. There are classes that have a cap on how many kids can participate.

Summer Camp 2026 Meeting

When: June 24th
Where: Covington Park
Time: 6:30pm

All scouts attending summer camp are required to attend this planning meeting. Also, parents of scouts attending camp are required to be in attendance. We will be going over camp policies and everything your scout needs to have with them for camp.

Lions Club Fireworks Extravaganza

When: July 2nd
Where: NP Football Stadium
Time: 6:15 to 7:15

The troop has been asked to participate in a ceremony celebrating America 250 the night of the fireworks. We are working on the final details and will share as soon as we have all the info. Please plan to attend in your Class A uniforms for this very special night. This will count for anyone that wants to work on Scouting America’s Liberty in Action Award.

Firework Cleanup Service Project

When: July 3rd
Where: North Pocono Middle School
Time: 9am

Every year the troop participates in helping clean up from the fireworks the night before. This is once again a great opportunity to gain community service hours. The Lions Club does a lot for our troops. WE need to be there to help return the favor with cleanup. Many hands make for light work.

Covington Fireman's Parade

July 9th
Time: 6:15pm
Where: TBD
Class A

We have been invited to participate in Covington’s Fireman's parade on July 9th. Once again please try to make every effort to participate so we can represent our troop with a good showing. They let us use the fire hall in February at no cost the least we can is be there for their parade.

Moscow Parade

When: July 24th
More Details to follow.

Medical Forms

Medical forms are valid for one year only. If you plan to attend summer camp, you will need a current medical form that has not expired.

Summer camp requires Parts A, B1, B2, and C, along with a copy of your health insurance card.

Please do not wait until the last minute to submit updated forms.
