Below is information from Mr. Srebro about Merit Badge College.  Please register online if you are interested.  The price to paticipate goes up on Sunday.

Thanks,

Matt Flannigan
Scoutmaster

Please note that in order to participate, Scouts:

  • Recommended to be First Class rank or have completed the 7th grade
  • Register online using the Tentaroo-powered event registration at www.nepabsa.org/mbc
  • Have a discussion with their Scoutmaster about the badges they wish to take BEFORE registering for any classes
  • Submit all pre-requisite work by Jan 21nd, 7pm

With 35 different badges being offered including the brand new Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity Merit Badges, Johnson College is a premier collegiate venue for this event and we are grateful for their offer to host us once again.  A slate of top-notch professionals in their respective fields has been recruited to again serve as Counselors.

Again this year, as an add-on, the Council NESA Committee will be offering a seminar “Eagle Scout Scholarship Opportunities and College/Trade School Application Advice” from 3pm-5pm.  This will be facilitated by Dr. Frank Klassner and is ideal for older Scouts who are in high school.  Parents, leaders and Scouts are welcome and encouraged to attend (no fee).  Dr. Klassner has served on many scholarship committees and will provide advice on finding and applying for scholarships for Eagle Scouts.  He will also share advice on writing essays and getting recommendation letters for school applications.

In Scouting,
