We will be attending the Dan Beard District Camporee May 15th to May 17th. We will be working on the Aviation Merit Badge. Summer Camp payment is due this Wednesday May 13th. Health Forms are due no later than May 27th. Please do not wait until the last minute. Scouts can't pick their Merit Badges until payment is made and classes do fill up. We are winding down for the summer. We will have an end of the year party on June 3rd. Our Troop store is open, don't wait to order shirts or apparel for summer camp. Link is below

May Campout

Date: May 15-17
Aviation Merit Badge
Cost: $25
Where: Skyhaven Airport Tunkhannock, PA
Meet at Church Friday May 15th at 5:30
Pickup will be Sunday at the Church at 10am (tentative)

Summer Camp 2026

Date: July 12th-18th
Location: Goose Pond
Cost: $455 by May 13th

Registration is now being accepted for summer camp 2026. The deadline to Register is May 13th. AFter May 13th the cost of camp goes up. Do not wait until the last minute. Health forms are also due by May 27th. Parts A, B1, B2, and C as well as a copy of your scouts health insurance card. The scout CANNOT attend camp without this paperwork. We need time to go through the forms to make sure everything is filled out properly so they do not get turned away at camp. Also, your scout cannot register for summer camp merit badges or special programs until payment is made. There are classes that have a cap on how many kids can participate.

End of Year Party

The Troop will be providing Hot Dogs. If you would like to bring a side dish to share please let your Scoutmaster know. Families are welcome to attend. We will be doing our end of year Awards ceremony.

Summer Camp Swim Test

May 20th
Carbondale YMCA
Cost: $5
5:30-7:00

We will be conducting swim tests for anyone going to summer camp. This will be in place of our meeting. The YMCA has made it clear it is a hard cutoff at 7pm. Please come anytime between 5:30-7. Once you have completed your test you must exit the pool. They have a cap on how many people can be in the pool at one time.

Medical Forms

Medical forms are valid for one year only. If you plan to attend summer camp, you will need a current medical form that has not expired.

Summer camp requires Parts A, B1, B2, and C, along with a copy of your health insurance card.

Please do not wait until the last minute to submit updated forms.

Veterans Flag Placement

When: May 23rd
Time: 9:00am
Where: St.Catherine’s Cemetery
Class A uniform

The troop will once again be helping the American Legion place flags on the graves of Veterans. WE ask all scouts to please try and attend. If everyone pitches in we should be able to be finished by 11am.

Moscow Parade

When: July 24th
