Updates Troop 132/1132 Week of 4/5/26

Happy Easter everyone. We will be having a 2nd parent meeting on Wednesday to go over summer camp if you missed the first one, please make sure you are the meeting Wednesday. If you attended the first meeting you do not need to attend again. Please be sure to attend. There will be a lot of information discussed. Our April campout is fast approaching and so far we have 2 scouts attending. This week is the deadline for payment of $25 as well as to sign up. On April 15th we will be having OA elections, it will be a Class A uniform night. All Arrowmen under the age of 21 and registered to our Troop are eligible to vote. We must have 50% of all registered scouts to be present in order for the vote to take place. Please make sure all scouts are present that night. Meghan Gownley is working on her Eagle Project and has a list of items she can use. I have attached it to this email. We will be collecting items through the month of April. Our April campout is coming up soon. If your scout plans on attending, please see the information below.

Parents Meeting
When: April 8th @ 7:30pm
Where: Maple Lake Church
This meeting is mandatory for parents to attend. This meeting is for anyone who couldn't attend last week. We will be talking about summer camp 2026. Even if your scout has attended in the past you still need to attend. Please mark your calendars. There is a lot of information that needs to be discussed as well as hard deadlines that need to be met for payments as well as medical forms.
Fundraising
- Candy Bar money is due now. Anyone who took candy needs to turn in their money ASAP.
- We will be starting another fundraiser with a deadline of April 29th.
- What : Applebee's Burgers for a Cause
- Cost: $13
- Order forms are attached. This works just like Krispy Kreme fundraiser where you take preorders and collect the money. There is a minimum of 100 certificates that must be sold. If we do not meet the minimum we will not be able to participate. Please sell sell sell. $9 from each certificate will go to your scouts account. This a good fundraiser to make a last minute effort to offset the cost of camp.
Swim Test
When: May 20th
Where: Carbondale YMCA
Time: 5:30-7:00
This is the annual swim test for summer camp. Please make every effort to attend if you are planning on going to summer camp. More details to come.
Troop Records update
You may have received a message that you were removed from our Remind group. Please do not be alarmed as we are updating our records. You are not being removed from the troop. You will receive a new invite to the group soon.

Summer Camp 2026
It’s not too early to start thinking about Summer Camp 2026. We will begin collecting deposits in January 2026.
- Cost: For Scouts $455 before May 15th - $485 after May 15th
- When: July 12th to July 18th
Medical Forms
Medical forms are valid for one year only. If you plan to attend summer camp, you will need a current medical form that has not expired.
Summer camp requires Parts A, B1, B2, and C, along with a copy of your health insurance card.
Please do not wait until the last minute to submit updated forms.
