To scout and families that signed up for the Spring Camporee. 

If a scout would like to earn the Mining in Society badge, please complete the below prerequisites  before the camping trip.  

1A) Select 10 different minerals. For each one, name a product for which the mineral is used.
1 (C) From the list of minerals you chose for requirement 1a, determine the countries where those minerals
can be found, and discuss what you learned from your counselor
6(B) Explain reclamation as it is used in mining and how mine reclamation pertains to the Leave No Trace Seven Principles and the Outdoor Code.
The workbook is attached to this email.  

Scouts need to bring their Class A uniform to be worn on Saturday. Typical camping gear (like a sleeping bag, tent, appropriate clothing, water bottle,mess kits,  etc.). All meals are included. 

We will be leaving the church at 6 pm on Friday, May 16th.
