Hi Scio Flyers Members,
The Scio Flyers UAS4STEM drone team is in a bit of a hardware pinch and could really use a helping hand from the club.
During our recent testing and setup sessions, the Spektrum NX10+ transmitter we’ve been using developed a hardware fault—the left gimbal's internal magnetic sensor has slipped out of alignment, preventing the throttle stick from calibrating or reaching its full travel limits. We need to send it out to Horizon Hobby to be serviced and repaired, but we are right in the middle of critical practice and preparation.
We are looking to borrow a 10-channel (or higher) Spektrum transmitter (such as an NX10, NX10+, or iX12/iX14/iX20) for about a week so the team doesn't lose valuable flight and programming time while our radio is in the shop.
Because we are utilizing multi-position switch matrices for our autonomous flight modes (AUTO, Loiter, Guided, etc.) alongside camera and gripper controls, a full 10 channels is necessary to match our current programming profile.
We promise to take absolute pristine care of your gear and return it promptly. If anyone has a spare radio sitting on their bench or a backup transmitter they would be willing to loan us for a week, please reply to this email or reach out to us directly at the field.
Thank you all so much for your continued support of our youth drone team!
Let’s fly,
Jim
