Reminder: Scio Flyers Annual Membership Meeting – This Saturday!

Hey Scio Flyers,
This is a reminder that our Annual Membership Meeting is scheduled for this Saturday, March 21, 2026, at 2:00 PM. We will be meeting at the Scio Township Hall, located at 827 Zeeb Rd, Ann Arbor, MI 48103.
The Board has finalized a streamlined agenda for the session to ensure we cover essential club business efficiently.
Meeting Agenda:
Financial & Membership Report: A review of the club’s current financial standing and 2026 membership status.
AMA Charter & Township Update: Confirmation of our standing with the AMA and the current land usage agreement with Scio Township.
Nonprofit Restructuring: A presentation on the proposal to consolidate our assets into a 501(c)(3) structure, which was unanimously recommended by the Board.
Google for Nonprofits Transition: An update on our move to Google Workspace and the associated cost savings for the club.
Board Elections: We will be conducting elections for the Board of Directors. Nominations will be accepted from the floor, followed by a vote via a show of hands.
2026 Season & STEM Programs: Updates on the upcoming flying season and the Board's commitment to the UAS4STEM program through 2027.
Community Collaborations: Discussion on our ongoing and potential partnerships with local educational and community organizations.
New Business – GeoTech Runway: We will be introducing the concept of a synthetic runway surface to gauge interest and gather feedback from the membership.
Please note that there will be no refreshments or food allowed in the township hall.
