View this email in your browser Visit the Region V 2020 Workshops website here:  https://sites.google.com/rid.org/region5workshops2020 RID Region V is seeking proposals for workshops and trainings for our 2020 Region V Workshops held in partnership with the DeafNation World Expo in Las Vegas on July 13-16th.  Presentations are sought on topics including but not limited to:  diversity, equity, power, and privilege ethics and the interpreter’s role  interpreting skill development (beginner or advanced) interpreting in specialized settings, especially medical, mental health, and working in Deaf and hearing teams interpreting in the LGBTQA community current research relevant to the interpreting field To fit our schedule, we are seeking workshops that can be taught in 90 minutes, 3 hours, or 6 hours; and workshops that can be presented multiple times during the week. Workshops that focus on application and participant engagement are encouraged.  Presenter Applications are Due January 31st.
