Hello CSD Community,
It’s with excitement that Jr. National Association of the Deaf (Jr. NAD) and Foothills Athletic Association (FAA) will collaborate to host the 5K Run & Walk event. Please view the flyer for more information. Last December, Jr. NAD chapters from CSD Fremont and Riverside campuses had leadership retreat on our campus during Battle of California weekend. During the leadership retreat, they were to come up with 5 different action plans to take place between January 2019 – December 2019. This is the first of five projects that Jr. NAD will be working on.
This event will help Jr. NAD and FAA raise money to support different projects during this academic year:
Jr. NAD’s goals:
1) Send students to National Jr. NAD Conference in Rochester, NY
2) Send students to Youth Leadership Camp
3) Scholarship for seniors
4) Host future events
FAA’s goals:
1) New uniforms and equipment for athletes
2) Help athletes with their trips to Deaf tournaments
3) Snow Trip during early Spring
Please help us spread the word to the community about this exciting event. We look forward to this event and hope to see you there.
