Music Department: Assistant Professor of Music Theory and Analysis

 

We invite applications for the role of Assistant Professor in Music Theory and Analysis, tenable from 1 September 2021. The successful candidate will specialise in any musical style or tradition, from any analytical or theoretical angle, including (but not limited to) formal, historical, computational, ethnographic and cognitive perspectives. You will contribute to high-quality teaching and curriculum development at UG and PG levels in the fields of music analysis or music theory (broadly conceived) and may also contribute towards teaching in other areas. You will conduct high-quality research in your field of expertise and will be expected to develop connections and interdisciplinary dialogue between your field and other areas supported by the Department.
