Good Morning Sailors and fans of sailors!

The forecast for the weekend has improved and is now free of precipitation. I don't think we'll need any tents, etc.

Just a reminder...here's what we all signed up for:

We still need:

3 pounds of Bowtie Pasta
2 dozen "other breakfast items"
I crockpot of Marinara
1 crockpot of Alfredo sauce
1 salad (3 bags o'salad greens)
1 more batch of cookies/brownies/dessert
2 volunteers for the last shift at the tables

Popeye can source these things, but it would be great to spread the load.

Hi Henry,

I am not sure how exactly the lunch works. Do we drop off the crock pot and sauce or just bring it at 11:30 when my shift starts? Also, the pasta will be cold because it will be cooked ahead unless I cook it right before I come at 11:30, then depending on when the sailors eat it might still be a bit warm. I only have one crock pot and cannot keep the pasta warm.

Thanks

You can bring the pasta when you come at 11:30…..it might be good if you could come a little before 11:30—like 11:15.  That way we can be set up to go by 11:30.

As far as keeping it warm, if you could cook it just before you come, that will be great.  Then the warm sauces will hopefully be enough.  Thanks

Meghan

If you're able to bring your warm crockpot with already warm sauce and just cooked pasta to SailMaine that would be ideal.  At least if there is warm  sauce, cold/room temp pasta can be more palatable.  Folks manning the table may decide to add pasta to the crockpots to make warm as well.
