Good morning all,
Reaching out to get everyone’s understanding of which registries are on the ground in PR logging in data. New York City would like to offer clients of our service center the best possible avenues for finding their loved ones but at this point we’re not sure which registries have the most data and would therefore be the most useful to refer families in NYC to.
Thanks all,

Jay,
We are mirroring Google PF with some folks coming directly to us.
The last count I recall was in the ~11kish number of reports most of them PF.
You can refer them to either of us as we push updates to them as well.
We are here https://pl.nlm.nih.gov.

Jay, Sharon, thanks for the information.
I noticed that ARC Safe and Well also has the Las Vegas Shooting listed as a disaster. But the number provided on the ARC Safe and Well website is not working: 800-536-9488. It also does not match the number currently in use by Las Vegas to collect information about missing persons: 866-535-5654.
Is anyone aware of any other registries collecting information associated with the Las Vegas MCI, and who the POC’s are for those registries?
I have some peripheral involvement in the Las Vegas event – just trying to connect John Fudenberg, the Clark County Coroner (cc’ed) with relevant stakeholders.
Thanks for any info that anyone can provide.
Elias
Thanks, Sharon. I just called both numbers:
800-536-9488, provided on the ARC Safe and Well website (https://safeandwell.communityos.org/cms/index.php)
866-535-5654, provided by Nevada EMA.
The 866# connected right away, whereas the 800# on the ARC website did not work. I guess what I’m getting at is that the ARC website should funnel people seeking information to the 866#.
I was told that it is. But, my info is about 24 hrs stale.
@Elias: We stood up an event for the LV shootings. 1 record to date. I also called the LV number and just get fast busy signals.

That call I made was yesterday morning.

Thanks Mike. Is the information collected by NIH making its way to the folks in Clark County?
I meant the one record collected by NIH. Has it been forwarded to Clark County?
Elias
Doing so now manually. They answered. Got 211 recordings. Waiting for human.
Mike
It was a very reasonable wait maybe 5 minutes or so they/he has the one report we have now.
Mike
Thanks, Mike.
I just confirmed from the folks in Las Vegas that UVIS is being used and call volumes remain high in the 211 system.
Hi Jay,
We have ground teams in PR that are facilitating registrations on Safe and Well website and technology trucks that are facilitating direct communication through sat phones and wifi to CONUS.

Subject: Puerto Rico Registries
Good morning all,
Thanks Kate,
Just to make sure I’m giving our folks the best possible info, below is a draft version of the language that is going wide to New Yorkers. We’ve recently deleted a few registries that based on our folks on the ground, don’t have any data in them and we think would just be frustrating for people with missing loved ones to check every day. But if anyone from this group has information on another useful tool we’d love to include it!

There are resources available to help you locate family and friends that have been affected by a disaster.
The American Red Cross Safe and Well Website is a way for people affected by a disaster to enter information regarding their welfare so family and friends can check their status. ● American Red Cross Safe and Well

Hi Jay,
Just a minor point, but shouldn’t the hurricanes be listed as Maria, Irma and Harvey ( not Matthew)?

Happy to help. I’m currently just sitting on the sidelines, but I’m studying all of our group conversations and taking copious notes that will certainly help as we move forward with the build of the Critical Incident Component of NamUs. Thanks to everyone for all your hard work and dedication.
