Hello,
I would like to ask for a clarification about the links that point to project resources.

In particular:

- The links for Versioned Files are as follows:

https://live.runmyprocess.com/live/11111111/file/8a21d560-31122-1122-adfe-0111222141/logo.png?P_mode={P_mode}&P_version={P_version}

The question is: can I use this link that has P_mode={P_mode}&P_version={P_version} though inside the documentation I have read that I should not use P_version={P_version}?

- The links of web interfaces are as follows:

https://live.runmyprocess.com/live/11111111/appli/22222?P_mode=ACCEPTANCE&P_version=553344

My question: before I deploy the project in live mode, I don't know wich is the id of the version. But I need to insert the link to the web interface inside the project. So, can I use a link like https://live.runmyprocess.com/live/11111111/appli/22222?P_mode=LIVE , so without specifying the version? Will it work correctly?

Thank you,
Daniela

I would like to add something.
Let's imagine that I have the link https://live.runmyprocess.com/live/11111111/appli/22222?P_mode={P_mode} that goes to a webinterface. I embed this link inside a button (inside a web interface). Will the link work correctly and will it point to the right mode (TEST, ACCEPTANCE or LIVE) depending on the mode of the web interface from where the link is opened?
From the tests I have performed I'd say that it works like this, but I want some confirmation.
Thank you,
Daniela

Hello Daniela,

Answers to your questions are :

Question : can I use this link that has P_mode={P_mode}&P_version={P_version} though inside the documentation I have read that I should not use P_version={P_version}?

Answer : Yes, you can use both P_mode and P_version.
Mode represents in which version you are currently running/executing (or wants to). Whereas Version reflects the specific version of your project/application running. It is recommended not to use  P_version because once you used version then your application will execute only specified version instead of any new version if created for upgradation/updation purpose.

Question : Before I deploy the project in live mode, I don't know which is the id of the version. But I need to insert the link to the web interface inside the project. So, can I use a link like https://live.runmyprocess.com/live/11111111/appli/22222?P_mode=LIVE , so without specifying the version? Will it work correctly?

Answer : Yes, this will work correctly and always be accessing latest version.
You will get version id once you have successfully created a new version.(You can refer versions tab in your project).

Question : Let's imagine that I have the link   https://live.runmyprocess.com/live/11111111/appli/22222?P_mode={P_mode} that goes to a webinterface. I embed this link inside a button (inside a web interface). Will the link work correctly and will it point to the right mode (TEST, ACCEPTANCE or LIVE) depending on the mode of the web interface from where the link is opened?

Answer : Yes, this link will work correctly and point it to the right mode depending on the Web Interface.

Gunjan,
thank you for your answer.
So, just to be sure: if inside a link there is 'P_version={P_version}' or if this part is omitted, the version that will be run is the latest available version, right?
Thank you,
Daniela

Hi Daniela,

Yes, if inside a link there is "P_version={P_version}" or if this part is omitted, it will always be accessing latest version.
