Hi,

I created a process that is triggered by a message (email). The process runs successfully when I use the "Launch Test" link in process design environment. But when I send an email, the process is not triggered (process report does not detect a process triggered by email). The email address might be wrong, can you please help me to solve this?

"Process Start Event dialog" says that message box address is "process+66x...@runmyprocess.com" and I added ".TEST" before "@runmyprocess.com", but it did not work...

According to your user guide, format of email address is "process+{customerid}.{processid}.{key}.TEST@runmyprocess.com", so lack of {key} might be a problem but I am not sure what the {key} is.

Best regards,

Nobu

Hello Shiota,

Could you please check the user who is sending email to RMP for executing the process is available into RMP or not. Means that user should be registered RMP user.

process email id would be :process+{customerid}.{processid}.test@runmyprocess.com {key} value is not required.

for checking the emails are coming into RMP or not check this link

Thanks,

Rajesh Chandgothia

Hello Rajesh,

I sent an email from my email account which is registered in RMP, so I do not think the email account is a problem.

According to you, I checked the email came into RMP, and I found my email in "Messages with errors" saying that "Trying to start a process using a non configured message box".

Do you know what it does mean and how to solve this?

Best regards,

Nobu

Hi Nobu,

For configuring the message box, Please verify below points are configured

Map subject to
Input variable of process (see: Process Input tab) that will contain subject (object) of the email.

Map content to
Input variable of process (see: Process Input tab) that will contain content (message) of the email.

Map cc to
Input variable of process (see: Process Input tab) that will contain email copy of the email.

Map attachment to
Input variable of process (see: Process Input tab) that will contain id of the attachment files downloaded on RunMyProcess server. If there are several attachments, variable will be an array of id.

Parsing format
If you want RunMyProcess to parse the content of your email before injecting it in "Map content to" variable, choose a content format different from default one (Text).

Use HTML format if exists

Check box if you want to have in your "Map content to" variable, HTML body of sent email.

Thanks,

Rajesh Chandgothia

Hi Rajesh,

I tried to configure them as attached, but I still have the same error message saying that "Trying to start a process using a non configured message box". Maybe something is missing / wrong. Do you have an idea of how to solve this?

Best regards,

Nobuyuki Shiota

I talked to Nobu and was able to resolve this issue.

You need to have a LIVE version of the process for the Email trigger to work.
You don't need to be executing in LIVE mode, just need to have 1 version of the process in LIVE mode.

Steps:
Create a version that include this process.
Put it to Production.
(then, give it a few minutes)
Send email to the address - can be with .TEST or .ACCEPTANCE, which will trigger the process in respective modes.

Best regards,

Taka
