Hello -

I have a LIVE in-progress process that is using a definition version that is older than the current LIVE version. So this process's definition is now in TEST even though it was created with a LIVE process definition.

The problem is that the assigned user (task owner) receives a forbidden message when he attempts to open the form for his assigned task. However, I can open the same form without error - I just can't submit or doing anything to it.

Is the reason he receives the forbidden message because his once LIVE process definition is now in TEST because the current LIVE version can be the only LIVE version?

Is there any way to fix the process so that it uses the current LIVE process definition?

Thank you for any help.

Michael

Hi Michael,

I don't think that the Forbidden message is linked to LIVE/TEST or version purposes.

You must make sure of these 2 following statements :
  • The user effectively in assigned to the task
  • The user is in the lane the Manual task box is in.
If this do not solve the problem, I would like you to give me the Process Instance ID and the person who is concerned.

Thanks in advance.

Best regards.

Hello Dimitri -

Both conditions are satisfied, the user is assigned to the task and the user is in the Everyone group.

This URL receives the Forbidden message for the task owner ray...@zodiac.com

And this URL receives the Forbidden message for the task owner danie...@zodiac.com

Thank you for any help.

Michael

Michael,

I can see a request on a custom widget from your Manual Task : CW File Upload

I reInjected that custom widget into your project and let you go live with it.

This is the reason why a Forbidden message on it.

Best regards.

Thank you.

Release configuration in RMP is apparently something I am not grasping.  I thought I removed that widget from the current project version, not all of the project versions.

So now I need to remember to remove that widget when all of the old processes have been completed?

Yes for sure especially if you selected "Keep Old process for new Instances" when pushing live.

Best regards.
