Filter Metadata Array

Hello,

Is there a way to filter a metadata array in a WI Report?

I would like to check if a measure variable (company ID) is present in the metadata array.

I have tried [[user.extended.app_cara.finance.division]]. Where finance is the array and division is the textfield in array. If I was to use a textfield instead of an array it works fine but in my case I require an array.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Please try to filter with  [[user.extended.app_cara.finance[index value].division]] and let me know if working.

This pulls a single value from the array. I am trying to check if the measured variable is present in the array. So I will not know the index of the array. Also, is there any documentation you can provide for this syntax?

Hi,

You can either use [[user.extended.app_cara.finance]] or else [[user.extended.app_cara.finance[index value].division]] to filter a report.I guess there is no other way as you are storing in metadata array. I will let you know once I find an alternative solution.

Also, I am not familiar with this syntax, [[...]] , could you please direct me to the documentation for syntax.

Hi Travis,

Sorry,but you can't filter a WI report on basis of an array column without its index value.

[[..]] basically signifies the value of the variable. Since the value is coming from user metadata,so you are using user.extended.
