Hi Somjit,

This is the known bug of the excel, though this is fixed in Excel2013. You can try this Excel version or use another editor to open the exported csv file.

Please find the reference comment below:-

"There is a known bug where Excel, upon opening a UTF8 csv files via file association, assumes that they are in a single-byte encoding, disregarding the presence of the UTF8 BOM. This can not be fixed by any system default codepage or language setting. The BOM will not clue in Excel - it just won't work. (A minority report claims that the BOM sometimes triggers the "Import Text" wizard.) This bug appears to exist in Excel 2003 and earlier. Most reports (amidst the answers here) say that this is fixed in Excel 2007 and newer."

Or you can follow the below steps to open the UTF-8 characters csv file:-

Thanks & Regards,
Pankaj Kumar

Hi Somjit,

Please find the below steps to open the UTF-8 characters csv file:-

  1. Open Excel
  2. Import the data using Data-->Import External Data --> Import Data
  3. Select the file type of "csv" and browse to your file
  4. In the import wizard change the File_Origin to "65001 UTF" (or choose correct language character identifier)
  5. Change the Delimiter to comma
  6. Select where to import to and Finish
Thanks & Regards,
