Assigning An Activity to a Pool of Users

Hello -

I have been trying to figure out how to implement a pool assignment to an activity where several users are notified of an activity (role?) but the first one to validate or save the activity is the assignee.

For example, consider a pool of CAD drafters. An assignment activity is given to a team manager who validates the assignment then assigns it to his pool of drafters. This causes a notification to be sent to all of the drafters. One of the drafters in the pool becomes the activity assignee when he saves or validates the assignment.

Maybe this calls for a dynamic role?

I'd appreciate any suggestions.

Hi, 

If you have a manual task within a swimlane for a specific role and leave the "Assign To" field empty, then it will notify all the users in this swimlane and the first user to validate will finish this task and the workflow moves forward. Check the attached screenshots.

If you have a fixed set of users (role) that needs to do this action, then you do not need a dynamic role.
