Hello Team,

i want to access assigned manual task to me via email link. using "RunMyApp" (Android/iOS App).

I am using my Android mobile to access Runmyprocess application. I got mail notifying about the manual task assigned to me. Now when I click on the link given in mail, It will open the runmyprocess in the browser, It should go to RunMyApp.

I refer the docs & here is the link fyi (http://docs.runmyprocess.com/User_Guide/RunMyApp/).

So i have replaced the "https" with "rmp" in url, but it didn't work for me.

So please suggest the solution.

Hi Sarjerao,

You are accessing the hyper link in mail (from Android App of mail accessing emails), so by default the app will open the browser on click of the hyper link of mail, then the request comes to the RMP.

on User guide document:-
  • Open a web interface link (e.g. in a manual task's email) using RunMyApp. Important: on iOS devices, you need to replace https with rmp in order to open the link using RunMyApp.
We have requested more info on it, and will update you soon.

Thank you,
Pankaj Kumar

Hi Murali,

Actually this must be work on any client, as we don't know about the user in which client he will open the mail.

So we need to fix issue for both/all the mail client.

Thanks
Sarje.

Hi Sarjerao,

Sorry for delay in response.

Opening the hyperlink in mail, its the respective application functionality how its open, like in native iOs mail app, using "RMP" its open in RMP though gmail app is not supporting this.

For the consistency, we suggest to use the protocol "http" in mail task link and access it by browser, if user want to access it in RMP, the task will be available too there, he/she can access in app directly.

Thank you,
Pankaj Kumar

Hello Pankaj,

Thanks for reply.

In iPhone, we are able to open manual task using "RunMyApp" with help of email that manual task assigned to me.

But in previous version of "RunMyApp", we have tested that we could successfully open manual task with the help of mail using "RunMyApp".

So whats the problem with the "RunMyApp" Version 2.3.1 ?

So please confirm with previous versions.

Also let me know if you have any query.

Thanks
Sarjerao

Hi Sarjerao,

Gmail doesn’t support custom scheme url.  If you’d like to open RMP urls in RunMyApp from Gmail on Android then it’s best to use standard task url (“https” scheme).
The current version of RunMyApp only support /live/${customerId}/appli/${appliId} links, regardless of the scheme.
