Widget Array Date Validation

Hi,

I'm trying to set focus to a date field in an array widget when the validation of that date fails.
I can manage to test if the date is valid when the field is loosing focus, but i'm not able to set the focus to the same field if the date is invalid.
Could anyone point me to the right direction.
