Hello,

is it possible to use your system only as a process manager with our external websites.

Our website business intelligence triggers a process in RMP. RMP then depending on the process triggers "create task" in our used task management system (we use kanbanflow.com). When the process finishes it should trigger our system event about the process outcome.

For example.:
We create a live event in our system and this triggers RMP process to start.
RMP then creates several tasks for our workers in kanbanflow.com. For example - John has to define the event date, Marry has to find premises for the event, etc.
After the process finishes RMP should somehow tell that to our system, so the event information could be published into the website.

So basically there are three questions:
1. How to trigger a process start in RMP from an external web application?
2. Is it possible in RMP to trigger task creation in external web application from a RMP activity?
3. Is it possible in RMP to trigger external webapp API call at the point of end event of the process?

Thanks in afvance

Hi,

All RunMyProcess resources can be exposed as APIs. So you can trigger and send some parameters to a RMP process by calling the right web service.
As long as your external web application provides some APIs to interact with it through the cloud, yes, RunMyProcess can call them in order to trigger any action on this external application.
It wouldn't be in the "end event" of the process, but through a connector activity just before the end event, and once the call is made, the process will go to the end point and be over.

Hope I was clear enough.
Don't hesitate to come back to us if you have any other questions.

Hi Lauryans,

1. You can trigger the process in RMP in 3 ways normal start, Timer, Message (email from external system)

2. Yes, RMP can create tasks in external systems provided external systems have the "Create Task" API available.

3. Yes, you can call external API just before the End event of the process from RMP.

Thanks,
Sushma

Hi,

You can refer to our Training materials on the website and online video tutorials.

If you cannot find the connectors you are looking for in the RunMyProcess Connector library, you can create your own connectors.

Thanks,
Sushma
