Hi Support,

My application display an error when user open the form from Name column. Please refer attached picture. When this error displayed I found out that history widget loading al the time, not display any history.

HI Nas,

Kindly share more details on your configuration of web-interface and history widget as we can not suggest much on this error also please share the details of the error using console (chrome developer tool) by pressing F12 key on browser.

Hi Nas,

As discussed in the screen-sharing session, this issue is coming for some instances not for all instances and it is related to some time java script is broken and and function call going infinitely till exceeds the stack size. Kindly check js script which can cause the issue.

We found the root cause of the problem. The error will not happened for the new submission but do you have any idea how can I solve the existing record?

Hi Nas,

If the error related to java-script and no major changes is made to process and web-interface, while creating a new version you can select the option "Uncompleted processes running in production will use:- new version". Kindly analysis your changes and make this choice carefully.

Kindly refer attached script. I attached the new script that we implemented & also the previous script.

Hi Nas,

It seems there were restrictions from your company mail-id, which is blocking to send the attachments on your post in Developer Community.

And for the error that occurred, it is related to JavaScript code and not from the RMP features/functionality.
Please seek for the respective guidelines in JavaScript forums primarily and we could assist further based on the Support contract on the account.

Hi,

Ok. We knew that it is javascript issue and we already fixed the issue. User not found the error for the new submission but the error still display for the existing record(means records that has been submit before the javascript has been solved). How to manage this kind in issue in RunMyProcess, do I just need to reboot the process?

Hi Nas,

For the earlier form submissions, you could re-run/resume the process instances with updated/fixed version. Attached Ref.

Please assess that business is not effected for these process instances relaunch and proceed.

Hi Murali,

I am handling 9 of RMP applications in Lafarge Malaysia. 5 of them GO-LIVE already, 4 of them still in UAT.

The resume process is something that I do every day. 

My problem is, even I already reboot the process, the existing records still prompt the error.

Hi Nas,

While creating a new version, if you selected the option "Uncompleted processes running in production will use:- new version" (as you only changes js code), uncompleted instances should be able to use that code and error should not come. However one possibility might be that the js code that you have modified was executed in any previous activity due to which uncompleted instance of previous version are not taking updated variables value. If this is the case, you can add another script to update values of those variable in their current activity create a new version so that those variable value get updated to remove error.
