Hi Team,

I have one list of "Users" in my WI, and next to that I have one field which will be set after selecting the user from that list to the users mail id.

I have one JS which will listen to Users list and then set that next field of mail id.

When I do it manually by selecting the user from list it works.

But when I load any pre-existing record into that WI form, It won't work as expected.

When I load the record my user's list is not set.

Could you please help me to solve the mentioned issue.

Regards,
Sarje

Hi Sarje,

Could you please elaborate what does it means by pre-existing records that you are loading on WI form (Does it means you are providing any hard-coded value?). I am not getting this properly.

Also are you using any custom list, variable list or you select list type users for "Users" ?

Thanks & Regards,
Shobhit

Hi Shobhit,

Yes, we provide hard coded value from collection.

After click on edit record we are unable to set value of that list which we have already saved in collection.

Hi Shobhit,

Forgotten to tell you that we have taken a list type as "Users".

And the preexisting records are the records saved in collection.

And when we want to update any records in collection, we set the existing values in the WI from collection.

Sarje

Hi Sarje,

If I understand correctly, you are facing problem with initialization of the user list as per the user that is in the collection for that particular record, is this correct?

For the List, a property  "Post Loaded Script", on this you need to select the mail id of the user that is coming from the collection.

Inline image 1

here you need to write the js code for selecting the user.

id_users.setSelectedValue("mail_id_from_collection")

Hi Sarje,

As you mentioned you are providing hard-coded values to the User's List. Then are you able to set those values?

I am thinking that you are using some email_id to set into the list. But you are not able to set(via hard-coded).

If this is the scenario then the problem is that particular user(email_id) is not present that Entities/Roles which you have selected at the time of selecting "choose an entity or a role" option for the list.

Hope this will help you . Please let us know if have any query.

Thanks & Regards,
Shobhit
