Hello,

in a process I have activity "Data Input" with an assigned webinterface "Data" and screen "Input Screen". Next following task in the process is a validation task doen by a WebService, followed by a task "Data Confirmation" with an assigned webinterface "Data" but with screen "Input Confirmation". The second screen look very similiar to the first screen, but some fields are read only and other buttons are active. In the activity "Data Input" a button has assinged the "On click" action "Load next screen".
What happens is:
Clicking the button, the webinterface change something, e.g. shows the read only fields, but does not change the displayed buttons.
If I refresh the browser by F5, the screen is shown correctly.
If I close the task, and open the new task from "My tasks" the webinterface is displayed correctly too.

Is there a specific browser setting necessary, or is something other wrong?

Thank you in advance
Wolfgang Schneider

Hi,
I have created same scenario in my application. It is working well.
PFA..
In screen1 it is first screen for manager1 when he approves it loads screen2.
In sceren 2 REJECT button is inactive but visible and APPROVE BY MANAGER2 is active. Also some fields in screen1 are not active in screen2.
In My Tasks also,it is showing properly.
I am using Browser-Chrome

What kind of validation task is it in middle of two activities?

Hi,
thank you for the quick response. Now I have attached some screenshots which shows the process modelling (01/02_task*), the details of the screen definition in the webinterface (03/04_Screen*) and the result in the browser (05/06_browser*). After a refresh or reopen from the My tasks, the browser shows 07_browser_TaskValidation.JPG, which is the expected result.
I'm using several browsers with the same behavior:
Chrome 18.0.1025.168 m,
firefox 23.0.1
IE 9 Vers 9.0.8112
all of them on a Windows platform (Win7 or XP).
I start the process always from the process modeler by "Launch Test".

The process in the screens is a excerpt from my global process, but with the same behavior.

regards,
Wolfgang

Hi Wolfgang,

Based on the screenshots you've shared, it seems that you don't have any "Start process" button in your web interface.
You should have one, in the Launch screen, because this is where you configure the process that is linked to your web interface.

Hi Gareth,
thank you for your information. Yes this was the problem.
Because I use this webinterface only in a process I did not fill information into the screen "Launch". Adding a button and select the process the webinterface is attached, solved the problem.

Thank you for your help,
regards
Wolfgang

Hi Wolfgang,

Good to hear that it solved your problem.
If I may ask the question, why are you using "Launch test" from the process design to trigger the process instead of launching it thanks to the Launch screen ? Is there any reason for that ?
