Hi ,

Yesterday the delegation application was successfully deployed into the abu.o...@lafarge.com account but when i was trying access this project this particular account it is showing that my client's account is not authorized to access this project,

Now when i was going through the delegation application from my rmp account i found that rmp ad-min,designers role was defined to access this project.

As per my client requirements i am not asking to give the accounts any ad-min rights, nor i have any intention of getting that, i am just asking to give my clients accounts some rights or privileges so that we can access the Delegation application.

For the application that we have developed we currently want only the persons who will be defined in safety officer role should access the delegation application .

So could you please provide the safety officer role the rights to access this application??

This is safety officer role ID: 210875.

And when i was testing this delegation application from my rmp i found out only the ad-min can change the user from the [[USER]] option of drop down menu item,

but if could give certain rights for my safety officer role so that they could change the user from the [[USER]] option of drop down menu item then it would be great help.

Hi,

I am thinking that you need to get access of Delegation project from your client's account which was previously ported from admin (swati's account).

Please follow below steps to access:

Goto organization --> roles --> add user(your client) {make sure that user will be present in your accounts}.
After this you have to go Project access right tab and then give him the access of your project.

Refer this link for access right:
http://docs.runmyprocess.com/User_Guide/Development_Environment/Toolbox/Projects/Project_Rights_Tab

Note: This can be done by Admin's account only.(Swati)

Thanks and Regards,
Sweta

Hi,

Sorry for my previous email. Please ignore it.

I am supposing that your customer account is an admin's account.

While copying the project, Organisation linked to your original project, corresponding files and included projects have also been copied. So, please make sure that your user(customer) will present in that roles. Then only he can access the project.

If you want to create a new role and giving them to access then please follow the steps:

1. You need to create a role ("safety officer" as you mentioned) inside the organization.

2. After, you can add user's (to whom you want to give the privileges) in that role.

3.  Then add that role as a Designer/User (Access right type) in "project access right tab".

Note: If your "customer" is not an admin then you need to do this with admins account.

Hope this information will be help you.

Please feel free to ask, for any further queries.

Thanks & Regards,
Sweta

Hi sweta,

I have tried to implement what you have said but while creating the user from swati's account it is showing the error stating that : Error when trying to save the user. Please check user metadata and preferences values, and make sure that this user doesn't already exist.

But i am creating the user for the first time in my account ....

Can't figure it out why getting these error, i haven't checked the required box for my user meta data but still facing this error.

I was testing the same with the same name user name but with different email id then the user is created, but with my clients email id i am unable to create the user.

So please tell me where i am going wrong???

Hi Sushsma,

I able to access the delegation application from my clients account, but the only thing that i cannot do is to change the user from drop down menu item.

This is changing is very much important for the safety officer role and for this application.

Could this be done that for this application, that certain rights are give to the safety officer role or to the persons who are assigned as safety officer so that they could change the user from the user drop down menu item, or there is any alternative way to achieve what i am asking for.....

Please let me know, as this section is very vital for my project....

Thanks and Regards

Hi Somjit,

I have given the rights to the Safety Officer role of SRS project(which is in Lafarge account) to access the rmp:delegation project. Please check with client if they are able to access it now.

And regarding selecting "User" dropdown only people with admin profile can change the "User" dropdown otherwise only he can assign his own tasks to some other person  i.e "User" is defaulted to the person who connected to the system and "Delegated To" dropdown can be selected by your choice whom you want from the users of the account.

And regarding creation of user in an account, if a person has a runmyprocess account with an email id then the same email id cannot be used to create another runmyprocess account whether it is in your account or the client account.

Hi Sushma,

Could you please look into this issue. As, this is related to "Porting Issue" which you have done previously and we are not having access to do. They need this to be done ASAP.

Hi.

As Sushma already replied to you, only Administrator profile use can create delegation for other users. This is how RunMyProcess platform works.
Do you understand this?

So, the out-of-the-box delegation application that we provide will not allow such operation in user interface. Because it will be denied on server side.
And this application is not customize-able. You can't change any part of it.

[solution]
Only way to realize what you are talking about is to build your own delegation application.
Creating/editing delegation is all implemented using APIs.
There are "Create a delegation" and "Modify a delegation" Connectors in the Connector Library, under Provider name of, RunMyProcess - Secured Connection.
These 2 Connectors call the APIs, the input and details are in the descriptions of the Connectors.

You can call these Connectors with hard-coded Administrator profile credentials. (set Provider authentication method to Login/Password, and use RMP user/login of user with Admin profile)
This will be treated as Administrator profile user's actions, so RMP server will accept the creation/modification of delegation of any user.

Best regards,

Taka
