Default values in a drop down list

Hi Team,

In the web interface,can we have default values for drop down list, what i mean is that i know, if i give some variable or user name in prompt section it will appear as default.

But the issue is suppose there are 3 approvers and 2 supporters for a particular case which is pulled from the collection, this supporter and approver vary from customer to customer, depending on what amount they choose, so it is not fixed.

According to the scenario, there might be 2 supporter and one approver, or might be 3 supporter and 2 approvers, or even 1 supporter 3 approver.

According to the need when the supporters or the approver name should come by default matching with the amount which is entered by user, from the collection...

Can you please tell me how to achieve it...
