I have a process that has a timer that was set to start in 5 minutes and repeat daily. I saved it but it did not start and did not show in scheduled processes. I created a version and marked it as "acceptance". It now showed in scheduled processes but has not started. I've updated it a few times but nothing. Also, I've removed the timer trigger on the process but not it still shows under scheduled process. The documentation I found on your site is pretty limited on how to set this up. Can you help?

I'm simply trying to set up a scheduled process to run in ACCEPTANCE daily for testing. If successful, it'll be moved to LIVE.

Thank you,

Hi Aeon,

Please provide more specific details on the issue you are facing with the timer schedule in process in "Acceptance" mode.

Please find attached screen-print of the process and triggered process instance in 5 min interval in "Acceptance"  mode for reference,

Here is the list of some links to refer for timer in process;-

Thank you,

Thank you Pankaj. I was able to get the process to start. I had to update the timer and create a new version. It then ran through it's 3 repetitions. I updated the process and set the timer to run for 5 repetitions. I created a new version but I cannot get the task to start. The links you sent me don't go into any detail regarding versions or what environment the process needs to be in. I'm guessing it must be in at least acceptance to order to work. How does versioning work in all of this? I've attached a couple images.

Thank you.

Hi Aeon, ,

For Timer trigger process, it should be in "Acceptance" or "Production" mode. For Testing purpose you may set the "Repetition Number" to "Unlimited" as once the timer reached the counter (to 5 , in your case you have set the timer to 5 repetition), timer will stop.

Kindly let me know if you have any other query.

Thank you,
Pankaj Kumar

Hello Gunjan.  I think there is a bug in the way that schedule tasks are created.  I have been working with our account rep on this.  He believes it has something to do with leaving "keep updated" check when creating a new version.  I when a new version is created, at times, the previous schedule task doesn't delete.  Thus, if you had a task that was set t unlimited and it didn't delete, there would be no way to stop this task from continuing to run.

Thank you,

Aeon

Hi Aeon,

The "keep updated" option is used when you want to save your resources(like Web interface, process etc) while the application is in ACCEPTANCE or LIVE mode (Works in TEST mode also).
To delete previous schedule task you need to keep only the latest version in ACCEPTANCE or LIVE mode. In this way only one task will be running in ACCEPTANCE mode.

Please let me know if you have any more queries.

Prachi, I responed to Dipen directly.  I forgot to include the forum.  My apologies.

Dipen, I was told this was bug that will be corrected in a release coming out soon.  If that is the case, then you can close this issue.

Thank you,

Aeon
