Hello,
is it possible to start a process instance by a procedure instead of by manual task ?

Hi,

Yes, you can trigger a process using Timer and Message as well.

but is it possible to start a process instance by a script run from a Web interface where the user fills necessary data ?

Hi,

Yes, you can execute Process through JavaScript. Use below code :

RMPApplication.executeProcess( "customerId", "processId", "customerKey" )

Also you can trigger the process using the JQuery refer below tutorial -
