Hello,

I've tried to use the Users Management application in order to let the users change their preferences. The point is that the Users Management seems to be made for administration purposes, because users can see other users metadata, preferences, etc. I've also tried to use the "Users Restrictions" (do not view other users, and do not view metadata) but this restrictions give me problems when I have to access metadata in some projects and when I have to show Users Lists.
So my question is, Is there a way to let Users access their own and restricted "Users Management" application ?

Thank you

Pankaj Kumar

Hi,

If users have access to the Flex IDE, from "My Setting", user can access and edit their preferences.

Alternatively, You can create a new web interface with the necessary field as input and create a "Composite API" with the method "save_preferences" and "P_change_preferences" and display the current preferences of the user by "get_preferences" method.
On click of submit button, please trigger the Composite AP to save the changes made by the user.

Thank you,
Pankaj Kumar

I've worked on the second option you give me (create a web interface and use preferences methods in Composite API) and it is working.
Thank you, very fast response :)
