Escape special characters

Hello,

In my process, I am using freemarker to generate XML string. How do I escape any special characters so the XML when I output as a file is a valid XML? I tried field?esc but it does not work and throws error.

You can close this. I am able to use field?xml in freemarker to escape special characters.
