Release version and P_engine

Hello,
we are informed by email of new releases available but looking at the p_engine parameter of an instance, it shows a previuous one release (es. magdalena).

How does the update process work ?

Is it something managed by RMP entirely ?

Good Morning,

When a new release is done, the engine is not automatically changed for old interfaces.

All the new interfaces are created with the new engine.

Also, for old interfaces, you can change the engine and select the new one. In order to do 

that, you should open the interface on IDE, then go on Implementation tab, finally click on the icon 

in order to change the engine.

Hello Richard,
I have not found the icon to change the engine of a web interface in the implementation tab.

Anyway, my question was not only about web interface but also about other features included in a certain release.
That is, when I see a release include i.e.:
- new javascript/freemarker API
- new user functionalities
- Appinstance report : new filter Assigned To Connected User (Lifou v4)
- Copy of version : a new copy icon has been added to the version view (Lifou v4)
- Delegation per project : delegation can now be limited to a project (Lifou v3)

How can such features be available in our environment/projects ?
Is there a "release update" procedure to be followed when needed ?
