Nested roles

Hello,
I have "main" roles that contain both users and roles.

Is there a way to determine the upper role for a user member of a lower role ?

Hi,
yes, we tried that but:
1) it is "deprecated"
2) it seems to work only with entities
3) when a user belongs to several organizations, the result is only one
and we cannot find the logic.

Hello,

If you need absolutely to know the manager of another user, the best way is to use the User's Metadata.
In order to configure that, you need to go onto Account => User Metadata => you create your metadata 'Manager' , then for each user you can define a value for this metadata.
Then to retrieve the value of this metadata for certain user you can have a look at the following tutorial
