Hi,

I have process where user can start a manual task and the task is notified as email.

I have Normal user not an administrator.
I have added this user-role to my projects access rights type 'user' and 'supervisor'

The issue is this user cannot start the process in live. Always prompting
Unable to start process -forbidden access (403). Server understood the request but refusing to fulfill it.

Other tasks not involving a manual task working correctly in live with same access rights.

Where i am able to do this process in test by the same user.

Please help.

Hi Jinu,

There might be couple of reasons:

1. Have you added that user in "Role" (Organization-->Role-->Add the user in authorized section).
2. User can also launch a process if he/she belongs to "Designer" in your project access right tab.

Have you tested in Test mode?

If you still facing the same issue, feel free to ask.

Thanks & Regards,
Shobhit

Hi,

Thanks for the fast reply.

1. The user is in Authorized users section.
2. I have tried that also, no success.

Yes, I have tested the interface in test-mode for this user. Here it is working correctly
The process get invoked.

But the issue is when i do the same task in LIVE mode. I am getting the response unable to start process.

Please note:
1. This is a manual task in the process.
2. I have invoked other process that doesn't have a manual task in live mode successfully.

Hi,

Could you please try with couple of possibilities,

1. Make sure that you have added user into the ACCEPTANCE USER of role in your project.
2. Make sure that this role has been added into the "USER" tab of Project access right type.

If you are still facing any issue, please revert back.

Regards,
Tejas

Thanks both of you for the help.

I have found out the cause of the problem.

The process i am trying to invoke has various levels of roles.

So, the mistake i made is that i haven't added my user to the role that initiate this process.

Thank you all
