The default response to ROR API requests is now version 2

Hi all,

We've been sending lots of reminders that starting this week, ROR API queries with no version in the path would return results in schema version 2 instead of in schema version 1. That change is now live! 

Remember that today's change affects only **requests that do not specify a version in the path, such as https://api.ror.org/organizations.** Our logs indicate that only about 25% of requests to the ROR API do not currently specify a version in the path; therefore, most calls to the ROR API will not be affected. Read more on the ROR changelog. 

Remember, too, that version 1 of the ROR API and schema will be deprecated in December 2025. Version 2 is the current recommended version, and we've designed it to be flexible and stable over the long term, so please plan now to adapt your applications to retrieve data in version 2 of the ROR schema (and register for a client ID) before the end of the year.
