Hi all,

Hope you're having a great September! We have an exciting announcement: version 2 of the ROR API, which is based on the much-discussed new metadata schema for ROR records, is ready to test. Read more at https://ror.org/blog/2023-09-14-beta-test/

TL, DR: the new version of the ROR API is available at https://api.dev.ror.org through October 16th. There are sample data dumps for v2 as well that you can explore. Full documentation and instructions can be found at https://ror.readme.io/docs/ror-schema-api-v2-beta and you can submit your issues and comments at https://github.com/orgs/ror-community/projects/12 .

We anticipate releasing v2 into production late this year or early next, and we'll continue to support the current version (henceforth to be known as v1) for at least a year after that.

In addition, please note that our intrepid and tireless curation team (aka Adam) has issued yet another release. Release 1.33 of the ROR registry updates 59 records and adds 80 new records. As always, the API has been updated with the new data and a new data dump is available on Zenodo at https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.8368288. You can reply to this message or email regi...@ror.org with any questions about the release.

If you have questions about the beta test, you can also reply to this message, but we'd also encourage you to join next week's ROR Community Call on Thursday, September 28th.

Cheers,

Amanda
