Hi all,
There are not just one but TWO ROR registry releases to announce
this week, as the work of reconciling ROR with the Crossref Funder
Registry continues. Release
1.10 adds 1506 Funder IDs to ROR records, and release
1.11 adds 1507 Funder IDs to ROR records. As always, the
newest data dumps are available on Zenodo.
The latest bimonthly ROR Community Call took place on Tuesday,
October 19, and we heard about the ongoing technical work of
implementing new statuses for inactive organizations and withdrawn
records as well as the upcoming work of introducing versioning for
the ROR API. If you didn't get an email reminder of the most
recent ROR Community call and would like to join the next one,
email in...@ror.org to be added to the invitation list.
Finally, as you might know (or should know if you don't) DataCite
Commons has a terrific organization
browse for DataCite content that is powered by ROR. The
DataCite product designer is looking for some users to test some
new layouts that might help organizations visualize their impact
according to FAIR data
principles. If you're interested, fill out the
survey linked here.
Crossref, one of the major sustainers of ROR, is hosting its
annual meeting virtually on October 26, 2022. Register at

Cheers,
Amanda
