ROR Release 1.59, plus details of ROR Annual Community Meeting February 4-5

The first release of ROR in 2025 has been published! Release 1.59 adds an impressive 1311 records and updates 136 records. As always, new and updated information is available immediately in the ROR API and as free, downloadable data on Zenodo at https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.6347574. 

In other news, the ROR Annual Community Meeting is nigh! Please register now for any or all of the four terrific online events we're hosting beginning February 4th:

- ROR Community Update, February 4, 15:00 UTC - The ROR team summarizes ROR's activities and accomplishments in 2024 and asks for your thoughts on ROR's plans for 2025.

- ROR Community Drop-In, February 4, 16:00 UTC - Register for the ROR Community Update and then stick around for another hour for an informal chat with the ROR team.

- National PID Policies and Practices, February 5th, 16:00 UTC - Representatives of countries from around the world report on efforts to make persistent identifiers such as ROR a key part of their nation's research strategy.

    

- Successes and Opportunities for ROR in the Asia-Pacific Region, February 6th, 01:00 UTC - This Asia-Pacific-focused session will include a brief introduction to ROR, presentations by ROR users from Japan, Hong Kong, and Australia, and plenty of time for questions from participants.
