Hi all,

The latest release of ROR was issued yesterday, thanks in no small part to our new Metadata Manager, Riley Marsh. This release of the registry, version 1.52, adds 239 records and modifies 602 records. The total number of active, inactive, and withdrawn records in ROR is now 110,723. As always, the new and updated records are immediately available in the API, and the latest data dump is available at https://zenodo.org/doi/10.5281/zenodo.6347574.

If you haven't already seen it, do please take a look at our most recent request for feedback on ROR API client identification, in which we propose implementing either API keys or mailto parameters for the ROR API in order to ensure its health and stability. Comments are open through October 4th. We'd appreciate learning more about how this change would affect you.

Upcoming ROR events include our next ROR Community Call on September 26, where we'll be hearing about Web of Science's ROR integration and discussing the results of our call for feedback on new external identifiers in ROR. We've also got a webinar coming up October 3 on ROR-powered features in DSpace 8 and DSpace-CRIS, so if you're at all interested in DSpace or know someone who is, sign up for that and/or spread the word.

Thanks for your interest in and support of ROR! If you have questions or comments, you can reply to the ror-tech mailing list or write sup...@ror.org.

Cheers,

Amanda French
