ROR release 1.34, Zenodo's RORification, and extension of v2 beta-testing period to October 31st

Last week we released v1.34 of the ROR Registry, adding 112 new records and updating 241 existing records. This release went directly into the ROR API as usual, but the data dump on Zenodo was unavailable for a few days due to Zenodo's platform migration. Zenodo has stabilized now, and the downloadable dataset of v1.34 of the ROR Registry is therefore available as usual at https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.6347574 (all versions) or https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.8436953 (v1.34).

You should also still be able to use Zenodo's API to retrieve new versions of the ROR dataset as described in our documentation, but do let us know if you have any issues.

We'd like to congratulate Zenodo on this migration to InvenioRDM! One of the key new features includes the ability to "auto-complete creators from ORCiD and affiliations from ROR," which of course is terrific news. https://blog.zenodo.org/2023/10/13/2023-10-13-zenodo-rdm
