ROR release 1.73 and forthcoming deprecation of v1 of ROR schema & API

Hi all, 

Release 1.73 of the Research Organization Registry is now available! Release 1.73 adds an impressive 724 records and modifies an even more impressive 1983 records, bringing the total number of active, inactive, and withdrawn records in ROR to 119,897. As always, the new data is immediately available in the ROR API and can be downloaded from Zenodo at https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.6347574.

Our next ROR Community Call is November 19th, and you can register now. One primary topic there and for the rest of the year will be the forthcoming deprecation of version 1 of the ROR API and schema in December. According to our public ROR API insights dashboard, more than 90% of ROR API users are currently using version 2, the recommended, stable version, but if you have a friend who's using version 1, be a pal and remind them to switch over before the end of the year.
