Slides and recording from November ROR Community Call available

Highlights:

• Yet another reminder that version 1 of the ROR API is slated to be sunset the week of December 8 -- currently, only about 8% of calls to the ROR API use version 1. 
• We're thrilled to demonstrate a new and improved "single search" matching strategy on the ROR API that is faster and more precise in helping match messy affiliation strings to ROR IDs. 
• Bessem Aamira of CNUDST reports on consortial activities in Tunisia to register DOIs and shows the importance of ROR IDs for tracking work especially in DataCite Commons. 
• Joe Muller and Andy Byers demonstrate the use of ROR in the open source publishing system Janeway.

Not covered in the call is the interesting information that a breakdown of how ROR IDs are being used in Crossref is available via Crossref data snapshots. Take a look at the new chart at https://ror.org/about/impact/#ror-ids-in-crossref-metadata that shows how many Crossref records include ROR IDs for affiliations, how many for funders, and how many for institutions.
