Hey everyone,

I hope your Lenten journey has been a nourishing time for you and your neighbor.  May you continually turn toward the life that God calls you to.

  

Next Friday (3/23)is the anniversary of Oscar Romero's assassination.  Every year around this anniversary we host the Romero Lecture Series on the Rutgers-Camden Campus to educate and raise awareness around important justice issues.  We would like to formally invite each of you to join us for a fantastic day of workshops.  Because this is an election year this years theme is focused on the Political Life of the Christian.  Click this Link  or the image to watch a personal invitation.  We look forward to seeing you!

• Lenten Dimensions - A great daily series of reflections form folks all over the area that offer a unique approach to faith during this Lenten season.  
• Lenten Challenge - Water fast- Use less water.  This is more than just shorter showers.  Think about the amount of water that goes into making your food and other goods.

Within the next few days:

• March 17th - 10am - Romero Runners - 6 mile run - We'll meet at  1021 Emerald ave Haddon Twp.  (You can take the PATCO to get there.) (This is a change from the previous Romero Runner's plan.)
• March 17th - 5pm  - Mass and the Monkey - A vigil Mass offered for the End of War.  A great alternative to "traditional" St. Patty's day celebrations.  Please RSVP.
• March 20th - 7pm - Bible Study - An excellent exploration of the Gospel of Mark.  We've been having a great time and would love to have you join us.
• March 30th - 6:30pm - Catholic Worker Roundtable - We'll be hearing from Peter Pedimonti from the New Sanctuary movement.  Bring a dish to pass.
• April 14th - 9:00am - Day of Service - St. Joseph's Carpenter's Society house demolition.

Remember to avoid meat on Fridays.

 

I can testify to this image that children do like sitting in pots.   Though I don't think they like being boiled.
