Holy smokes everyone,

We've got so much going on around here that we hardly know what to do with ourselves. 

For those of you that don't know Alabama trounced LSU 21-0.  I realize this is a sore point for at least one of you.  LSU played a great game.  They just couldn't make it (read: anything) happen.

- Jan14 - Day of Service.  NJ folks, we'll meet at 10 at the Romero Center.  Philly folks, meet in front of the Basilica at 10:30.  We will be serving with "We Feed the Homeless" from 11-1.  We will be serving outside, so please dress appropriately.
 
- Jan 16 - 4:30pm - Join us for a great discussion on race and civil rights with Camden local Betty Mitchell.  She grew up in South Carolina with a very real experience of Jim Crow laws.  She has been in Camden for over 30 years, and is the sweetest woman you'll ever meet.  Plus, she's got stories that will rock your worldview.  She runs the St. Joseph's Center for Child Development, which provides free child care for kids under 4 in the city.
 
- Jan 17th - 7pm- Bible Study.  We'll be meeting at 214 Lakewood Drive, Collingswood, NJ for an hour of totally awesome scripture study.  No bible experience necessary.  BYOB (interpret "b" as you see fit).  It is the home of our very own Mark Vallone.  He and his family have been gracious enough to let us gather there. Afterwards Convening at the Pour House or some other appropriate tavern of discourse is always a possibility.

Looking to the near future, we need leaders for our Lenten small groups this year.  If you are interested in leading a small group please let us know.  We've got a great theme this year (Beloved) and it can only get better with your help.

I just can't figure out a way to get Dr. Who in to this e-mail.... but I'm a big fan of his now.
